Our Values
We care about our work and how our work gets done.
Integrity.
We feel a deep responsibility to the field of education. As such, all of our decision making and efforts as a collaborative will be directly guided by our strong commitment to supporting schools.
Engagement.
We believe that our work together is better than our individual efforts. We seek to be inclusive of and responsive to the unique knowledge, skills, roles, and voices of varied collaborators and partners (e.g., educators, students, communities, policymakers, researchers).
Equity.
Unequal systems and bias directly contribute to inequities in education practice and scholarship. Traditionally, and in our own work, efforts to promote sustained practice in education have not meaningfully attended to systemic inequities. We are committed to change and pledge to be accountable in our efforts across collaboration, research, and resource sharing as well as how we internally operate as a collective. In all of our work, we aspire to highlight and disrupt how unequal systems contribute to challenges in sustaining practices and inequitable student outcomes.
Transparency.
Transparency builds trust among stakeholders and increase confidence in research findings. We are committed to earning trust through transparent efforts across our work as a collaborative, in our research, and dissemination. These efforts include engaging in direct communication as a team and with collaborators; sharing research data through Open Science Framework; and providing annual reports of our equity efforts and goals.
